In the month of September, PS3 outsold the Wii and the Xbox 360 combined! It is the first time that either Xbox or PS3 has outsold the juggernaut Wii.

The PS3 2009 exclusive line up is possibly the greatest of any console to date. The exclusive titles of: Killzone 2, Infamous, Ratchet & Clank: Crack in Time, Demon Souls, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves are all games that are top of the line and contenders for the number one slot in their genre.
It would appear that now is the time to get a PS3. In addition to all of those great games new comers will also get to play cheap classics like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted 1: Drake's Fortune, Resistance 1, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, LittleBig Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, and the surprise hit- Valkyria Chroncles. I am probably missing some but I think that illustrates the point.
So what lies ahead for PlayStation's future? Are they all burned out on titles? 2010 is looking to be the year of online debuts. Online games like MAG- a 256 player FPS, The Agency- A spy game, DC Universe, and Final Fantasy IIIV. Besides the online games Sony kicks off 2010 with the giant title of God of War 3. Followed by games like Heavy Rain, the LittleBig Planet follow up- Modnation racers, EyePet- a game using motion detection- , along with the highly anticipated Grand Turismo 5- the most realist car simulation to date. In addition RPG fans will have White Knight Chronicles and the much anticipated Last Guardian to play in addition to FFIII. Other games that will follow in the future include Infamous 2, Resistance 3, a followup to KillZone 2, the continuing chronicles of Valkyria, and a brand new Twisted Metal. All of that is just straight exclusive games.
PlayStation also has Blu-Ray (once you use it you can never go back), Netflix, the new motion sensor technology coming sometime next year, and the PSN classic games from Pixel Junk and others (Fat Princess & Flower).
There is no doubt about it, PlayStation really got off to a rough start with an "overpriced" console, crapy exclusives like Lair and Haze, and the competition of Microsoft's full financial power. But with the HD war won with Blu-Ray, the solid PS3 exclusives, hardware that includes a wifi device you don't have to pay an additional $100.00 for, free online service, and a price tag of $299.00, PlayStation has arrived ready for the party. Just watch the sales go through the roof this Christmas as everyone who doesn't own a second console, buys a PS3. If the price is what was holding back the flood gates, -from what I believe to be the bargain of the century- then Sony is in for a happy season.

You're so silly. I know most of this already, but it was fun to have you synthesize it all in one place. You are such a smarty pants when it comes to things like this. Love you.
